6 Things You Should Quit

Efficiency is doing things right; effectiveness is doing the right things.

As ET The Hip Hop Preacher says – “if it was easy- everyone would do it”

And that’s the point.

The list below is not rocket science- we all know these 6 things- possibly quite a few more in fact, but what are you doing about them?

  1. Quit stopping
  2. Quit putting things off
  3. Quit being a victim
  4. Quit saying yes
  5. Quit expecting
  6. Quit avoiding

Life is not all about taking on new things – often it’s about making the most of what you have and avoiding things which will add little value.

My favourite excerpt is this –

We all have things we don’t want to do, but we have to do them because we’re adults.

This list is invaluable – it’s human nature to put things off and to avoid confrontation – but to challenge these behaviours is a step in the direction of achievement and empowerment.

Even though we choose to avoid things- we feel like we have no choice (well at least I do anyway).

By choosing to not avoid things or to not say yes to everything- you are making a stand for yourself and taking an active role in your life rather than letting life make the decisions for you.
